The common rail injection system in the BMW 730d.

Outstanding performance, unbeatable economy: with a turbocharger system with variable intake geometry, the engine in the BMW 730d is the first of a new generation. The common rail direct injection operates at a peak pressure of 1,800 bar while the injectors positioned in the centre of the combustion chambers guarantee a smooth and constant combustion process. As a result, the new BMW 7 Series Sedan offers an increase in output by 10 kW/16 bhp and a reduction in fuel consumption by 10 per cent to clearly rank it right at the top of the luxury segment.

Fuel consumption / CO2 emissions

Combined fuel consumption: 6.8 l/100 km
Combined CO2 emissions: 178 g/km
