Intelligent safety (ASE) in the BMW M6 Convertible.

A total of six airbags, fitted as standard, offer the driver and front passenger outstanding all-round protection. Yet even more important than the number of airbags is their control system. Advanced Safety Electronics (ASE), the intelligent safety system, ensures that each bag is inflated to the correct degree to minimise the effects of an impact. The same system can also activate the seatbelt tensioners, deactivate the central locking and cut the fuel pump's activity.
